Specialist private equity firm EMCO Capital Advisers has launched to target turnaround opportunities in the UK property sector.
According to the Financial Times, the fund will target investment in struggling bars and nightclubs, which could then be either refurbished or redeveloped for alternate uses.
Quoted in the Financial Times, co-founder Emyr Hughes said the Cayman Islands-domiciled fund was looking to invest as much as £5m a month buying up venues in areas such as Newquay, Penzance and Northampton.
The fund has a minimum investment level of £250,000, and a standard 20 and 20 fee structure.
