Singapore and New Delhi-based private equity firm Quadria Capital has held a first closing of its second Asia-focused healthcare fund, Quadria Capital Fund, on $107m.
The fund will focus on making growth equity investments in high quality and scalable mid-sized healthcare companies in South and Southeast Asia.
Sectors of focus include healthcare delivery, life sciences, medical technology and healthcare services.
The target region of the fund represents markets with rapidly increasing demand for higher quality private healthcare services, but challenged by a shortage of infrastructure and services, according to managing partner Dr Amit Varma.
“We are very grateful to attract commitments by several high quality institutions with deep healthcare experience, including development finance institutions, investment institutions, leading corporate investors, and family offices globally.”
