Private equity firm LNK Partners has hired experienced consumer products industry executive Craig Rydin to help develop its portfolio companies.
Rydin has previously served as chairman and CEO of Yankee Candle, whose market cap increased by more than $1bn and 300 new stores were opened during his 12 year tenure.
He has also spent 23 years at Campbell Soup Company including as president of Godiva Chocolatier Worldwide, which achieved annual sales and EBITDA growth of 19 per cent and 31 per cent respectively.
In his new job, Rydin will be advising existing portfolio businesses and help to evaluate and pursue new investment opportunities.
LNK focuses on investments in mid-market consumer and retail businesses. Its current portfolio companies include Au Bon Pain, Natural Food Holdings and Beachbody.
Last year the firm closed its LNK Partners II fund on its $400m hard cap.
