Toronto-based investment firm Bastion Infrastructure Group is seeking $2bn for its inaugural fund, Bloomberg has reported.
Managing partner Ron Lepin formerly founded, built, and led the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan direct infrastructure programme. He was most recently managing director and COO of the $4bn Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners fund.
Earlier this year the firm hired Wael Elkouhly from EISER Infrastructure Partners as head of asset management.
The fund will target investments in power, water, transportation and energy infrastructure sectors.
