WestView Capital Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm that invests in lower to mid-market companies, has sold its stake in Wavelink Corp to LANDesk Software, a portfolio company of US buyout major Thoma Bravo.
Wavelink provides mobile device management and mobile enterprise application platform software.
More than 15,000 companies with over seven million devices across a broad spectrum of markets use its technology to accelerate application delivery, reduce device management and support costs and tighten network security.
Customers include GSK, Nestle and 3M.
LANDesk, which specialises in systems lifecycle management, endpoint security and IT service management, will add Wavelink to help it provide end-to-end mobile management across a broad range of platforms and devices.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
WestView is currently investing through its second fund, a growth equity fund that closed in 2009 on $325m. The vehicle had a fundraising target of $300m.
