Madrona Venture Group also took part in the financing round, which Jama said it would use to expand in Europe and Asia and product management, development and delivery.
The company said it has grown to serve more than 600 customers since being founded six years ago.
Trinity Venture general partner Karan Mehandru, who will join the Jama board following the investment, said, “Having tracked the team and the market for a few years, we were impressed with the customer traction and even more excited about the prospect of helping the team extend their dominance and build a winning SaaS franchise.
“At Trinity, we care deeply about our entrepreneurs and our role in helping them achieve their vision, and with this investment we are thrilled to work with such an outstanding team as their first institutional investor and partner for the road ahead.”
Juniper Networks backed the round through its Junos Innovation corporate venture fund alongside Seagate, with the commitment coming a month after Cloudscaling announced its Open Cloud 2.5 system.
