Earlier this month the firm agreed a deal to acquire jeans company True Religion Apparel for $835m.
The deal, for a majority stake in Kaporal, follows MBO Partners Funds‘ acquisition of a 33 per cent stake in 2008 .
In 2012 the company saw revenues of €115m. Recently appointed CEO Santiago Cuchy also took part as an investor.
Earlier this year Towerbook closed its latest buyout fund on $3.5bn after only four months on the road.
The firm was previously the private equity arm of Soros Fund Management, the hedge fund management firm that advises George Soros’ Quantum Fund, whose portfolio has gained 4,200 per cent in the last ten years.
The firm spun out in 2005 and went on to ink a number of successful deals such as the acquisition of luxury footwear maker Jimmy Choo from Lion Capital in 2007, which it sold four years later to Bally owner Labelux in a £500m deal that made more than three times its money.
