City & County Healthcare Group, the domiciliary care company backed by UK mid-market buy and build specialist Sovereign Capital, has made its twelfth deal by bolting-on independent living support business Comfort Call.
Family-run Comfort Call employs more than 1,500 care workers across 13 local authorities in the north of England.
Sovereign created City & County in 2009 following its acquisition of London Care, and has expanded it with bolt-ons including Sterling Homecare, Guardian Homecare, Sage Care and Help at Home.
The firm has more than trebled the size of the business since it launched.
City & County completed its eleventh bolt on through its acquisition of Willow Tree Homecare Ltd in October, and its tenth through Northern Ireland-based Conard Care Services a month earlier.
Sovereign partner Dominic Dalli said, “Comfort Call is a high quality care provider which has quickly grown to become the leading provider in the North East of England.
“This is a significant acquisition for City & County and fully reflects the Group’s growth strategy of selecting acquisitions for their location, quality of service and size.
“City & County has firmly established itself as a leading UK healthcare services group.
“The domiciliary care market continues to be attractive and is likely to see forthcoming opportunities as community healthcare outsourcing gathers pace.”
