Private equity-backed hunting accessories maker Hunter’s Specialties has reportedly been put up for sale.
The company, which is backed by private equity firm Centerfield Capital Partners, has received interest from Midwest-based private equity firms, said Dow Jones, citing two people with knowledge of the situation.
Hunter’s products include animal calls, odour elimination products, animal scents, camouflage related products, educational videos and archery supplies.
Centerfield backed the company in 2003 with a $3m investment.
Last year Centerfield closed its third fund, Centerfield Capital Partners III, on over $171m.
