Online image scrapbook Pinterest has raised $200m through a Series F financing round that gives the company a valuation of $5bn.
Investors included existing backers Andreessen Horowitz, FirstMark Capital, SV Angel, Bessemer Venture Partners, Fidelity and Valiant Capital Partners.
The investment comes hot on the heels of a $225m financing round in October last year, and another $200m investment in February 2013.
Pinterest, which allows users to ‘pin’ their favourite web pages, pictures and video from their travels across the internet, received a $100m funding round led by Japanese online retailing giant Rakuten in May 2012.
