KKR walks away from footwear company Jones Group

27 Sep 2013

US investment group KKR has stepped away from buyout talks with clothing and footwear company Jones Group, Retuers has reported.

Earlier this month, KKR and fellow private equity firm Sycamore Partners were said to be looking to acquire all or parts of the company.

A deal could value the business at $17 to $18 per share compared to the current share price of $15.68, which gives it a market cap of $1.15bn.

Other private equity firms, including Golden Gate Capital and Sun Capital Partners were previously said to be considering offers for the business.
