Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The firm said, “Iki Iki […] has developed a strong brand and position by focusing its publishing and mail order business on the senior market.
“In the future, the senior market is projected to continue expanding, and Iki Iki is expected to continue growing and collecting good customers.
“Iki Iki has had excellent results in the senior market, and as the aging population continues to expand, it is expected to be a major new business for Noritsu Koki Group, a publically traded company, and continue to grow in the future.”
J-STAR was founded in 2006 and focuses on management buyouts. To date it has invested in 12 transactions in industries such as consumer goods, B2B services healthcare, environment and manufacturing.
