Ireland’s National Pensions Reserve Fund (NPRF) is reportedly looking to sell interests in private equity funds totalling €600m.
NPRF has hired UBS to shop the portfolio, said the Irish Examiner, citing three sources.
The portfolio does not include stakes in Irish funds as NPRF is focused on domestic strategies designed to help boost the economy, said two of the people.
Earlier this year the government proposed to change the focus of the fund’s mandate and sell its global private equity investments.
Earlier this year UK turnaround investor Better Capital launched a joint venture with NPRF to target distressed business in Ireland.
