Hong Kong-based Horizons Ventures has invested $3.5m in mobile search technology company Everything.me.
Everything.me is developing an app which it hopes will change the way people search for information on their mobile phones.
Horizon Ventures director Jason Wong said, “We believe the market is ripe for disruption in mobile search and that a groundbreaking approach is needed to force this disruption.
“We have made this strategic investment because we believe Everything.me is the mobile search for the smartphone age.
Horizon Ventures manages private, early-stage investments in the technology sector for billionaire entrepreneur, philanthropist, business magnate and Facebook and Spotify investor Li Ka-shing.
In December the firm bought a $3m stake in HzO, a technology company with advanced materials that protect electronics from water and humidity, as part of a preferred equity investment.
