Relationship Science, a business development tool backed by private equity veteran Henry Kravis and business magnate Ron Burkle, has received $30m in new financing.
The company, which provides a networking platform for organisations across the public, private, finance and non-profit sectors, received the new funding from investors including former Merrill Lynch chairman and CEO David Komansky, ex-MBNA chairman Randy Lerner and Seagate CEO Stephen Luczo.
RIT Capital Partners, Hearst Corporation and Harvey Golub are all existing investors in the business.
RelSci launched in January with $60m of funding after two and a half years of development.
The software has signed up more than 150 client organisations including world-renowned investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, consulting businesses and non-profits.
