The Germany-headquartered company supplies bespoke filtration devices such as replacement filter elements for critical equipment in underground coal mining, chemical and industrial markets.
The firm provides growth capital to small and mid-market companies with enterprise values of between €30m and €300m in Benelux and Germany.
Seebach management members Rainer Seebach und Thomas Grimm-Bosbach released a joint statement saying, “Due to our long term engagement with the company and our roles as managing directors, the sustainable development of Seebach plays an important role for us.
“Together with Avedon as growth partner, we look forward to continue the expansion of the company.”
Last month Houston-based mid-market firm The Sterling Group agreed to sell portfolio company Velcon Filters to New York-listed manufacturing group Parker Hannifin Corporation.
Velcon is a niche manufacturer of filtration systems, including vessels and replacement cartridges.
When Sterling acquired the business from the founding family in 2009, the company was the domestic leader in the aviation fuel filtration industry.
