Andreessen Horowitz and Google back drone technology startup
Drone startup Airware has raised $10.7m in Series A funding from venture capital firms Andreesen Horowitz and Google Ventures.
Airware provides technology including hardware and software for drone manufacturers.
The company said its os-Series autopilots enable users to “create unique unmanned aerial systems for specific applications while maintaining their own intellectual property.”
Last month Andreessen and Google teamed up to support entrepreneurs developing applications and hardware for Google Glass.
Google has recently led a $125m investment round in peer to peer lending website Lending Club and backed a $17m expansion of lender On Deck’s Series D round along with PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel.
