Luxembourg-based renewable energy fund manager Akuo Investments has invested a total of €5.16m in two renewable generation projects in France.
Akuo’s Green Infra Europe vehicle invested €2.86m into an 8MW onshore wind farm in Côtes-d’Armor, which was developed by Akuo Energy and has a 15 year PPA signed with EDF. The project consists of four 2MW turbines.
Green Infra also invested €2.3m into Olmo 1, a 4MWp solar project in Corsica, France.
Olmo 1 is one of the projects awarded to Akuo Energy during the 2012 call for tender launched by the French energy regulation commission. It has a 20-year PPA with EDF SEI. The project is set to start construction this month and is expected to be completed in September 2014.
Olmo 1 represents the fund’s third investment since its successful first closing in September 2013. Managed by AIM Luxembourg, the fund already invested earlier this year in a 9MW solar farm.
