CVC establishes Global Financial Institutions sector team01/09/2008. Source: AltAssets. 
CVC Capital Partners has established a new Global Financial Institutions sector team, with Jonathan Feuer, a managing partner at CVC, as its head.
Feuer joined CVC in 1988. He was previously at Baring Brothers & Co, in the corporate finance department, and Ernst & Whinney, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. Feuer will be joined by Peter Rutland, a director of CVC UK. Rutland came to CVC in 2007, having previously worked for Advent International since 2002.
CVC's transactions in the financial services sector have included Acromas Holdings (the merger of Saga and the AA), Fraikin, IG Group and Collins Stewart.
CVC is investing from its CVC Fund IV, CVC Asia II, CVC Tandem Fund and CVC Asia III with an aggregate of $19bn in equity capital. CVC Funds currently own 52 companies employing approximately 387,000 people.
The firm is believed to soon be closing its CVC European Equity Partners V, above the fund's original €11bn target.
It has a network of 19 offices and 196 employees throughout Europe, Asia and the US.
