Hudson Clean Energy Partners hires Terry Jester as entrepreneur-in-residence18/07/2008. Source: AltAssets.
Renewable energy-focused private equity firm Hudson Clean Energy Partners has hired Terry Jester as an entrepreneur-in-residence. In her new role with Hudson, Jester will collaborate with investment professionals Daniel Gross and Craig Cornelius in evaluating investment opportunities in the solar sector.
More recently, she led SunPower's $50m Solar America Initiative, a US government effort to accelerate the development of advanced solar energy technologies.
Previously, Jester oversaw solar manufacturing for companies such as Siemens, Shell and Solarworld.
John Cavalier, co-managing partner, Hudson, said, 'We are passionate about identifying the very best managers in the renewable energy industry. Terry meets our high bar for management talent and experience, and has already impressed many companies that we've targeted for investment with her knowledge and ability to add value.'
Hudson invests in companies focused on renewable power, alternative fuels, energy storage and demand-side energy management.
Earlier this month Hudson invested $75m in San Francisco-based solar power developer Recurrent Energy.
