16/07/2008Source: AltAssets.

European venture capital firm DN Capital is to open an office in Palo Alto, California, to be headed by managing partner and co-founder Steve Schlenker.

DN Capital co-founder Nenad Marovac will remain as managing partner of the London office.

Schlenker said, 'While we remain committed to our core European market, we have come to realise that the information flows and expertise in Silicon Valley for our chosen sectors are incredibly deep and valuable. DN Capital has always maintained close professional ties to the US technology markets, and with the new Palo Alto office we will provide a competitive advantage for our portfolio companies.'

DN Capital is early stage and growth equity investor in the software and digital media sectors.

The firm recently held a first closing on its second fund, Global Venture Capital II, on €50m. The fund has a target of €100m and is expected to close by the end of this year.
