Belgian venture capital firm GIMV has appointed Koenraad Dejonckheere as its new CEO, replacing Dirk Boogmans. Dejonckheere is managing director and head of corporate finance at KBC Securities. Before that, he worked for Nesbic, Halder, Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance Europe and the former BBL, now ING.
Herman Daems, president, GIMV, said, 'With Koen Dejonckheere we welcome a very experienced dealmaker who knows the private equity world very well and who has proven to be able to bring dynamism into an organisation. Together with our directors I am convinced that Koen Dejonckheere will continue the further growth and international expansion of GIMV in a solid way.'
GIMV currently manages around €2bn of assets. Earlier this month, the firm, through its Dutch subsidiary Halder, acquired a majority shareholding in Dutch clothing company Bandolera Holding.
