Washington, DC-based private equity fund of funds manager PCG International has hired two new managing directors, Charles Toy and Bernard McGuire, and a new senior associate, Amit Chandra. Previously, Toy served as general counsel at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Prior to that, he established law firm Kaye Scholer's Hong Kong and Beijing offices.
McGuire joins PCGI after more than ten years working as a direct private equity investor and entrepreneur in China and the Asia Pacific region. He previously served as a director in OPIC's private equity department, with an emphasis on Latin America and Africa.
Chandra most recently was an associate with buy-out firm Key Principal Partners, where he invested in mid-market private equity transactions in the US.
Steve Cowan, managing director, PCGI, said, 'Charlie, Bernie and Amit bring deep and complementary private equity experience to our team. While they each have global perspective, having been involved in private equity throughout the world, they have also lived and worked in Asia for significant periods.'
PCGI has approximately $1bn under management.
