Swiss firm Capital Dynamics opens office in Munich03/07/2008. Source: AltAssets. 
 Capital Dynamics, a Zug-headquartered asset management firm with an exclusive focus on private equity, has opened a new office in Munich to expand its activities in the German market. Dr Katharina Lichtner, one of the founders of Capital Dynamics, will lead the German team as managing director.
Dr Lichtner has been seeing increased interest from German institutional investors in the firm's products and services. She said, 'The German-speaking countries are clearly very important to us and we want to be close to our investments and our clients in order to offer superior services.'
In addition to Dr Lichtner, the German team will comprise senior investment and business development professionals.
Thomas Kubr, the firm's CEO, commented, 'The decision to build a presence in Germany is part of our strategic growth plan and based on the company's continued success and outstanding performance. This is built on the global platform we have established and the services we offer to our clients.'
Last year Capital Dynamics opened an office in Hong Kong. It also has locations in New York, San Francisco, London and Birmingham.
Capital Dynamics has about $20bn in capital under management. Its products and services include funds of funds, co-investments, secondaries, separate account solutions and structured private equity products.
