DBL Investors appoints Cynthia Ringo as managing partner27/06/2008. Source: AltAssets. 
San Francisco-based venture capital firm DBL Investors has appointed Cynthia Ringo as a managing partner. In her new role, she will help manage all aspects of DBL Investors' operations and investing activity. Previously, Ringo served as a managing director at VantagePoint Venture Partners, and was the group leader for the Communications, Systems, Internet and Media Practice. While at VantagePoint, she served as a board member for Entrisphere, Klipsh, Tymphany, Widevine, LiveScribe, Provina and Meriton.
Prior to that, Ringo served as the CEO of Coppercom, a network switching company. Before that, she was the senior vice president of corporate development and business units at networking company Madge Networks.
Nancy Pfund, managing partner, DBL Investors, said, 'Through her background in venture capital and as a CEO, Cynthia brings deep investing and operating experience to our team and shares our enthusiasm for investing in companies that pursue "double bottom line" success.'
DBL Investors completed its spin-out from JPMorgan in January of this year.
The firm manages the Bay Area Equity Fund, a $75m venture capital fund. To date, DBL Investors has made 18 investments from the fund, with a focus on cleantech.
