Industri Kapital renames itself IK Investment Partners

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityMid-market European private equity firm Industri Kapital has changed its name to IK Investment Partners, to reflect its expanded investment and geographical focus.

IK was established in 1989, with an initial focus on manufacturing in the Scandinavian markets. The firm now invests across Europe, targeting mid-market companies in sectors including services, healthcare, food and specialised processing and retail.

Björn Savén, executive chairman, IK, said, 'Our new name, IK Investment Partners, reflects our broad European reach and sector focus and we look forward to continuing our successful strategy of working closely with our portfolio companies to grow their businesses and transform national businesses into international leaders.'

In October 2007, the firm closed its sixth fund, the Industri Kapital 2007 Fund, on €1.675bn.
