Granite Global Ventures renames itself GGV Capital20/05/2008. Source: AltAssets. 
Granite Global Ventures, an expansion stage venture capital investor in the US and China, has renamed itself GGV Capital. Two months ago the firm announced it had increased the size of its Granite Global Ventures III fund to $600m. GGV III originally closed on $400m in October 2006.
Granite Global Ventures was founded eight years ago. The firm has offices in Silicon Valley, Shanghai and Singapore.
GGV invests across various industry sectors, including IT, services and healthcare, and the consumer growth sector in China.
Its portfolio includes Alibaba, athenahealth, Boston-Power, BCD Semiconductor, Endeca, hiSoft, QuinStreet, SuccessFactors and WildTangent.
Recent exits include AAC Acoustics (HKSE: 2018), Netli (acquired by Akamai), Sirna Therapeutics (acquired by Merck), Qpass (acquired by Amdocs), XenoPort (NASDAQ:XNPT) and Xfire (acquired by Viacom).
