 Zurich-based Zurmont Madison Management has held a first closing on its new fund, Zurmont Madison Private Equity, on CHF72m (approximately €44m). The new fund is expected to raise a total of CHF250m. It will focus on investments in mid-market industrial and consumer goods companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
Fundraising for Zurmont Madison Private Equity started this February, the firm said in a statement.
Werner Schnorf, a founding partner of Zurmont Madison Management, said, 'We are very satisfied with this first closing and that the market is appreciating our operational approach and strong industrial background and network.'
Zurmont Madison Management was formed when Zurich-based private equity firms Zurmont Management and Madison Management were merged in September 2006.
