Exponent sells TSL Education to Charterhouse Capital Partners

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityLondon-based buy-out firm Exponent Private Equity has sold UK educational publisher TSL Education to Charterhouse Capital Partners for an undisclosed amount.

Exponent acquired the TSL Education business from News International, the main UK subsidiary of the global media company News Corporation, in 2005 for £235m in the first acquisition by Exponent's maiden 2004 Fund.

Richard Lenane of Exponent said, 'We are delighted to have worked in partnership with the TSL Education management team over the past 18 months. In that time we have backed the company in modernising its publications and moving into new market areas.'

Exponent's portfolio companies include UK-based graduate recruitment publisher GTI Group, acquired in June 2006, and UK online and call centre rail retailer Trainline, acquired in July 2006.
