CDC Capital Investissement has entered into exclusive discussions with The Carlyle Group and Maurice Genoyer to acquire Groupe Genoyer, a provider of piping equipment for the oil, gas, water and petrochemicals industries. Groupe Genoyer anticipates 2007 turnover of over €300m. Carlyle, Maurice Genoyer and company management acquired Groupe Genoyer in 1998.
Carlyle has $56bn under management and invests in buy-outs, venture and growth capital, real estate and leveraged finance in Asia, Europe and North America, focusing on telecommunications and media, aerospace and defence, automotive and transportation, consumer and retail, energy and power, healthcare, industrial, and technology and business services.
CDC Capital Investissement was established when CDC Entreprises Capital merged with CDC Entreprises Services Industrie. CDC Capital Investissement manages private equity funds totalling approximately €1.8bn.
