Eutelsat's owners, including Cinven, Eurazeo, Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, Spectrum Equity Investors and TPG, have suspended their plans for an IPO of Eutelsat. They were concerned that the current volatile market environment would affect Eutelsat's after-market performance.
Eutelsat said in a statement that 'despite support of a substantial number of institutional investors leading to an oversubscription of the order book, Eutelsat Communications and its shareholders have decided to withdraw its initial public offering as a result of adverse market conditions.'
Earlier this week Eutelsat lowered its price range from €15.25-€17.75 to €12-€13.80.
Experts fear that this could have a negative effect on the IPO market.
