Polish private equity firm Innova Capital has exited its investment in Slovakian mobile communications operator Orange Slovakia. Two Innova Capital investment funds were part of the consortium that has now sold its shares to French telecommunications operator France Telecom. The total value of the transaction is €628m, according to Innova Capital. France Telecom now owns 100 per cent of Orange Slovakia.
Other members of the consortium that are selling the Slovakian mobile communications provider include AIG and EBRD.
Dr David Fisher, chairman of the investment committee at Innova Capital and partner responsible for the investment in Orange Slovensko, said, 'We consider this investment to be a great success, contributing largely to our above average performance demonstrated in the past few years.'
Innova Capital mainly invests in the media, financial services, IT/telecommunications, business services and manufacturing sectors.
