Germany-based VCM Venture Capital Management, a private equity firm specialising in fund of funds investments in Europe and the US, has recruited four new professionals to its investment and business development teams.
Andreas Wilde has been appointed as head of private equity with responsibility for the firm’s fund relationships, due diligence and investment monitoring. He joins VCM from Allianz Private Equity and has previously worked at Henkel KgaA and McKinsey & Company.
Marco Naumann has been appointed as senior manager of business development to broaden VCM’s private investor base, working primarily with the firm’s mezzanine fund of funds. He joins VCM from Goldman Sachs where he served as executive director of its investment management division.
Daniel Schmidt has been recruited as investment manager to focus on the selection and management of US venture funds. He previously served as the head of research at the Center of Private Equity Research.
Joerg Sperling has been appointed as vice president of business development to expand the firm’s European institutional investor base. He joins the firm from Ridgewood Capital where he served as managing director.
VCM Venture Capital Management was founded in 1991 and currently manages over E750m invested in Europe, the US and Asia.
