US Blueprint Ventures recruits Joy Weiss as executive-in-residence

Blueprint Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based venture firm focused on seed and early-stage IT infrastructure, has recruited Joy Weiss as executive-in-residence. Weiss has over 20 years’ experience in the mobility, software and telecom sectors.

‘Joy’s unique combination of deep operating experience, industry contacts and technical acumen adds tremendous strength to our organisation,’ said Bart Schachter, founder and managing partner, Blueprint Ventures. ‘We are fortunate to have her unique perspective on business challenges and opportunities. Joy will actively work with the Blueprint team to help source and evaluate break-out company opportunities.’

In addition to evaluating new investments, Blueprint also anticipates backing Weiss as CEO in a future portfolio company. She already has experience as a CEO of several venture-backed companies including taking one public in 1998.
