 US Axiom Venture Partners has hired William Wilcoxson as partner. Wilcoxson joins Axiom from Claflin Capital Management where he served as general partner, specialising in early-stage information technology companies.
Prior to joining Claflin, Wilcoxson was a member of Internet Capital Group's investment team. He has also worked with General Electric Capital's Corporate Finance Group, where he focused on late-stage private equity investments in manufacturing, distribution and communication companies.
‘Will's addition strengthens the Axiom core investment team,' said Sam McKay, general partner and president of Axiom Ventures. ‘He possesses an all too rare combination of investment acumen and people skills. Will has a proven ability to work with company management for mutual success, as he has demonstrated many times over in his nearly 14 years in the business. Axiom Ventures manages in excess of $200m. Axiom invests in high technology, including communications, software, internet infrastructure and information technology. The firm also invests in biotechnology companies.
