UK mid-market firm Royal London Private Equity has completed its first investment with the £26m buy-out of property services business Emprise. The deal provides 3i an exit on its 1995 investment in the business.
RLPE has invested £7.7m in the deal, making it the lead investor alongside some of Emprise's senior management. The Royal Bank of Scotland provided the debt for the deal.
Emprise provides outsourced environmental and property services to major private and public sector clients.
RLPE held a first close on its debut fund earlier this year at around £64m and has a target of £200m.
