IDG Ventures Europe boosts team with former Bear Stearns principal

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityIDG Ventures Europe (IDGVE), the European venture capital firm, has expanded its team with the appointment of Anil Hansjee, a former vice president of technology investment banking at Bear Stearns, as a principal.

Hansjee brings several years' experience of private equity placements, and hands-on experience of working with technology-related businesses while at Bear Stearns, and also at JP Morgan Chase and UBS.

‘Having made several investments and wishing to accelerate investments in Europe, IDGVE needed to boost the team, and Anil was the perfect choice. He brings excellent technical and analytical skills to the company as well as good knowledge of the private equity market, both in Europe and the US,' said Ajay Chowdhury, managing partner.

IDGVE is backed by IDG, one of the world's largest publishing groups. The firm is currently investing its $100m European early-stage technology fund.
