Credit Suisse appoints Erin Callan as head of its global hedge fund business16/07/2008. Source: AltAssets. 
 Credit Suisse has appointed Erin Callan as a managing director and head of its global hedge fund business. In this newly created position, Callan will join the investment bank's management and global client steering committees.
In her new role, Callan will head Credit Suisse's strategic advisory and coverage efforts. She will partner and coordinate closely with the businesses that support the bank's hedge fund clients, including prime services, the financial institutions group and global markets solutions group.
Callan will also oversee global hedge fund accounts for the bank with the cross-divisional coverage network focused on hedge funds.
She joins Credit Suisse from Lehman Brothers, having served most recently as CFO and a member of the executive committee. Prior to becoming CFO, she was head of Lehman's global hedge fund coverage group.
