KKR named as buyer for stake in helicopter business Inaer

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co has been named as the buyer of a minority stake in Spanish helicopter fleet business Grupo Inaer from southern European private equity firm Investindustrial, in a deal with a total enterprise value of €700m.

OMERS nears agreement on Dubai World’s Inchcape shipping business

Canada pension fund the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) is nearing an agreement on the purchase of Inchcape Shipping Services, the marine management services company owned by the private equity arm of troubled state investor Dubai World, according to the Financial Times.

After entering exclusive talks over the takeover of UK arts and crafts retailer HobbyCraft, Bridgepoint has now sealed the deal, estimated to be worth around £100m (€115.1m).

Lightspeed Ventures leads $14m LivingSocial round

Online networking community company LivingSocial has raised $14m in its third round of fundraising. Menlo Park technology venture firm Lightspeed led the round, and was joined by return investors US Venture Partners, Grotech Ventures and Revolution. The round follows a $25m series B fundraising last month, and brings the company’s total capital raised to $44m.
